The auction starts on April 24, 2025, at 3 p.m. To follow the online transmission of the auction, you should access it from that time at www.alterreal.pt. Please note that the transmission may be delayed by around 10 seconds from what is happening on site, so you should take this into account when placing your bids. However, the change in bid values on the platform is immediate. The end of an animal auction is the responsibility of the auctioneer on site.

1. This auction will be held simultaneously in person and electronically (online), so interested parties, provided that they have previously registered and signed up in accordance with the terms below, will be able to participate by bidding virtually, electronically, or verbally, in person.

2. Those interested in taking part in the Auction must register in advance on the electronic platform (https://leiloes.alterreal.pt), indicating their choice of form of participation, virtual or face-to-face, by 11 a.m. on April 24, 2025.

3. For registration to be valid and effective, interested parties must fill in all the identification details, namely their name, address (with proof of address issued by the Tax Authority), ID number or citizen’s card, tax number and email address.

4. Registration will only be complete once proof of payment of the 25€ registration fee has been sent (this amount will be refunded at the end of the auction and the organization will send information on how to make the payment by email). Once your registration has been approved by Coudelaria de Alter, you will be able to log in to the electronic platform (https://leiloes.alterreal.pt) using the details you registered with.

5. To log in, go to the header of the site.

6. Enter the access data you used to register – email + password.

7. Once you have entered these details, you can change your password in the “My account” area if you need to for any reason, and you can also bid on active auctions. To do this, go to the “Auctions” page and click on the “Bid Now” button.

8. To bid you must choose the amount you want to bid – you can increase the amount of the current bid by a minimum of 100€ more.

9. If you are the first to bid on an animal and you place a bid lower than the base bid amount, a warning will appear telling you the minimum amount you have to enter. The same happens if you try to bid less than the current bid for an animal.

10. In the bidding table on each animal’s page, you can see all the bids made on that horse. In addition, you will receive an e-mail whenever you make a new bid, as well as an e-mail when someone outbids you.

11. Whenever a new bid is placed on an animal, the current bid value will be automatically updated on the platform.

12. To ensure that the online platform works properly and that your data is up to date, you should regularly update the page.
